Director Hollowell / The Big Lie-err Sault Ste. Marie, MI…You have to wonder how she can do it. For personal gain, she tells the biggest lie that one could tell to their community and to their neighbors which are supposedly represented by her. This director is against enacting the new constitution but she votes in favor of it when she knows that she can get away with it; that is, when she knows that her vote will not move the document forward to a vote of the people, but that it will make herself look good in their eyes. She did it recently with a list of grievances against the board put together by the members of the Sault Tribe Truth; she clicked on the like button to show her support for it when the reality is, she doesn’t support an independent court system, one which is out from under the thumb of the board, which is at the heart of the grievances. Director Hollowell believes in the big lie, which goes something like this: the bigger the lie, the more likely the people will believe it. And if you tell it often enough, they will believe even more. Director Hollowell is often referred to by other board members as director Hollohead; she recently tried to push a board resolution forward that would have put together a two branch government. In essence it supported an executive and a legislative branch but it didn’t do anything to make the judicial branch independent by taking it out from under the board’s thumb; rather than to elect our judges and the prosecutor, she still wants the board to hire and fire them. Director Hollowell sits over her people. She is above them. She likes her position on the board and the main thrust of her activities on it is to enhance and to shore up her role. She covers for the wrong-doing of the others on it. She isn’t mentioning the wrong-doing of director Causley’s acceptance of the $10,000.00 bonus for her role as a temporary chairperson; nor is she doing anything about the former chair McCoy’s alleged misappropriation of $300.000.00 plus in tribal funds…for legal work on the bankruptcy of his own business. She is doing nothing to end the criminal behavior of the board when it comes to covering up for their own members when they steal your money; in essence, allowing the crooks on it to know that can get away with it and thus, encouraging them to do it.
