Director William Friedkin chats with actor Jason Miller and Rev. Thomas Bermingham (who served as both actor and technical adviser) on the set of The Exorcist. For this scene, shot on location at The Tombs bar & restaurant in Georgetown, Friedkin and cinematographer Owen Roizman took inspiration from Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn, using lighting on the actors similar to that of Rembrandt’s famous portraits.
