Director of Accounting The Role they will play: • Manage the Accounting & Finance Department, • Oversea the process of closing the books each month end, • Review quarterly and annual financial reports required by SEC, • Analyze business performance against financial targets and KPIs, • Determine appropriate companywide accounting policies, • Maintain controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, • Work with internal and external auditors, • Represent the company in a professional manner, Benefits and Features: • Great pay on the Gulf Coast, • Health care, 401 (k), group life insurance, disability, and a flex spending account. Background Profile: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the Maritime industry • Preferred experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), expert knowledge in Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations, • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Financials or SAP, • Ability to pass a drug test, pass a back ground check and to work in the USA without sponsorship.
