Important Instructions for Filling in the M.Ed Admission Form Candidates are advised to read carefully the following instructions before they fill in the admission form:- 1. The candidate seeking admission to the M.Ed Programme shall ensure that he/she fulfils the Eligibility conditions as specified. 2. Please read Prospects/Information Brochure before filling the Application Form. 3. The name should be filled in BLOCK LETTERS and should be the same as given in the certificate of the last examination passed. 4. The applicant automatically comes to know about the serial number of his/her application form once he clicks the ‘submit’ button after filling in the form online. Please note down this “Serial Number” as it is required for further correspondence and queries. 5. Print two copies of the filled in form (one for the personal record of the candidate for further use and one to bring at the counseling -cum-admission as and when asked for) 6. The selected candidates shall have to pay at the time of counseling-cum-admission the Fee Rs 11525/- including the cost of prospectus-cum syllabus through a crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized Banks. The Demand Draft has to be drawn in favour of THE DIRECTOR, DIRECTORATE OF DISTANCE EDUCATION, UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU, payable at JAMMU. 7. The candidate must bring all the original documents at the time of counseling-cum-admission. 8. Admission form incomplete in any respect shall be rejected. Seeking admission on the basis of false identity, misrepresentation by submitting false certificates/ documents or suppression of any material fact is unlawful and will result in cancellation of admission. 9. In view of rampant reports of fake certificates and fake Universities, the University reserves the right of screening applications of applicants who have obtained their qualifying degrees from Universities other than University of Jammu and evaluating their competence before considering them for admission in a manner as decided by University/Directorate from time to time. 10. In pursuance of the decision taken by the Standing Committee of the Academic Council at its meeting held on 5th September 2005 vide notification No. FACD/V/ 128/05/6368-6517 dated 05/10/2005, any course run by Study Centres / Franchises of any University in the Country except IGNOU is not recognized. 11. Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right. 12. Only application forms registered online shall be accepted. 13 Please deposit the online application processing fees from KHIDMAT CENTRES operated by Jammu and Kashmir Bank or at HDFC Bank. The List of KHIDMAT CENTRES has been given at our Website. The J&K Bank or HDFC Bank Challan will be generated automatically, with relevant fee amount, when the candidate SUBMITS the form. After depositing the online application processing fee in the bank, the candidate must keep his/her copy of challan for any further reference and bring one copy of challan along with printout of the filled in application form at the DDE at the time of counseling. 14.
