Dirty Projectors are my favorite music of the 21st century so far. I dig in for weeks and then leave it. A year passes even. When I return to them again Im overcome by the sonic tsunami of the dry, spare and thundering Bonham-esque drums juxtaposed against tight and minimal bass and some of the most beautiful and weird guitar playing Ive ever heard. But mostly those voices! 3 women and a man or two, all hocketed, singing words or not. It just steamrolls me. Nada Brahma!
