Disabled UKs new Recommended Scheme due to roll out soon... your thoughts & suggestions are welcome and appreciated!! I would like to introduce a new logo we will be rolling out once our website is up and running. This logo is for businesses that excel in disability services, amenities and customer care. ************************************************************************************ This logo will only be available to companies who have been recommended by disabled people and meet certain criteria which is as follows: Disabled Friendly Has exemplary disabled facilities, that are maintained and upgraded. Staff that will go the extra mile to help or make the reasonable adjustments that are needed. They meet the Equality act requirements as a minimum giving disabled people Equality, dignity and respect ************************************************************************************ What happens if they go above and beyond? Companies who go above and beyond will get the higher star rating based on information provided by their disabled customers Companies who consistently go above and beyond and have a constant 5 star rating for a number of years will then be upgraded to a Platinum rating the highest award we can give. ************************************************************************************* How do you recommend companies? We will be creating a form for you to fill in when you think a company deserves our recommended logo which will cover a number of key points that will determine their rating and eligibility. This form will be available from our Facebook group files section so that we can start to gather companies before the website is launched. Once our website is launched we hope to have an online form which you can complete and submit to us. ************************************************************************************** What we hope to achieve? We hope that by doing this companies will strive to gain this award each year, helping increase awareness within companies about all disabilities and helping them improve on their services to disabled people. We also hope to give all disabled people confidence in companies they haven used before or are unsure about. ************************************************************************************** This logo isnt just for companies, we will also be rolling this logo out for Schools that go above and beyond for their disabled students I would like your input on this idea and welcome any comments.
