Disappointing Halloween. Every year there are a couple deer that hang out on the backside of the #19 food plot (hunting lease) right around sunset. Ive seen them in the dark but never hunted them. Last night I raced down there after work for the last few minutes of legal shooting time. 15 minutes left of legal shooting time and a great big buck walked out onto the food plot. he forced me to watch him eat dinner for the next 15 minutes before I had to unload the rifle and go home. He only had 3 points on each side. had the scope cranked up to 14x magnification and searched real hard for a nub that could be considered an extra point. Nope. Not legal to shoot. So nice and big. He knew it too. I think he filed a point off his antlers before he decided to have dinner last night. The agony!!!
