Discarding God and his holiness evolves into beastly - TopicsExpress

Discarding God and his holiness evolves into beastly behavior. The psalmist said he was glad when they reminded him to go to the house of the Lord. Will you join the psalmist and me in giving thanks to the Almighty that we can still enjoy the unspeakable privilege of worship today in the midst of a society that is for a great part rapidly discarding all public appearances of Christianity and fleeing from any reminders of their Creator by making a mad rush to rid their conscience of ever having to give an account to the One who made them. Discarding God and his holiness evolves to beastly behavior. Read Romans 1. Every day I learn something new about the juvenile rebelliousness of our society against the God who made them and blessed them with the freedoms of this great country. For instance I learned the following a couple of days ago. The Sam Walton museum in Bentonville, Arkansas is available for couples to have their marriage ceremonies performed there. Well, I should say some couples. I learned from the family of a couple dear to me that they wanted to be married there but their ceremony must be void of any references to deity. That meant not even a prayer could be uttered as a blessing for them. The two are Christians and of course politely said they would go elsewhere. I thought to myself that never would have happened if Sam Walton were alive who gave large donations to Christian colleges. It’s only one more step in our culture’s mad rush to cast off God--a slap at our God from an unlikely source that would not have happened a few years ago Prayer in a Christian’s life is the spiritual heartbeat of existence. In it we give thanks for Him who set such a loving, immaculate example and srtandard for us in morals. By his example there is a constant ray of light in this ever increasing madhouse of darkening mores. Through prayer our spiritual eyes are kept vividly fixed on the only absolute, ultimate standard for decency in human conduct. Prayer and conscience are partners in keeping us immune from the filth and ugliness about us. Spiritual worship around His table with intercessory prayer constantly reminds us--"this do in remembranceof me." If all we confess as disciples of Christ is true,--that the one God is our loving father, that Jesus is his son and the Christ of millenniums of promise, that we are in a spiritual kingdom that will outlast the universe and that we will be judged out of the very book antichrists have been trying without success for centuries to eradicate from this earth, all that being fact certified by the undeniable resurrection of Jesus, and for which untold numbers have died for, then or faith must be the mantle worn as holy adornment by every Christian at all times but in its shining brilliance when it is challenged by the demonic forces of evil who love and walk in darkness and hate the light of our life. AMEN!
