Dischem faced consumer protests for carrying a small range of Israeli products on its shelves. By abuse I mean that they were accused of siding with Hitlerites or comparable oppressors, which is so far from appropriate. Woolworths faces a similar challenge, which they rightly dismissed. So I wrote a letter of support to the CEO of Dischem, but I also urged them to build bridges with the many moderate Muslims that share our economy, in the same spirit with which Ben Netanyahu even cancelled a bridge project on the temple mount, to build bridges with his respect ally, King Abdullah. This is the reply I got from the Dischem CEO, but I have since also voiced similar support to Woolworths: The CEOs response: Thank you for your support. I have been touched by the volume of people who have spoken out against B.D.S. It would be useful to the cause to send similar letters of support to any other retailer that is also threatened. This is important that they know that the vast majority of people are actually sick and tired of biased focus on Israel where they are ignoring the horrific realities of the rest of the Middle East.
