Discipleship Kickoff: Embrace Your Faith Dear friends, Grace and Peace to You from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! We are taking our emphasis of connecting people to Life in Jesus to a whole new level this fall. On Sunday September 8 we invite you to Discipleship Kickoff. In May we started communicating about the new vision statement for Brookfield Lutheran Church. You have probably seen or heard it by now, but here it is just to refresh your memory: Brookfield Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered, vibrant, growing and compassionate family of faith that ethnically and generationally reflects the diversity of the community we serve. Through relationships we connect people to life in Jesus wherever we go. With focused passion and creativity we continually equip believers to seek and engage those not yet connected to Jesus. Our new vision statement is both challenging and exciting as it provides a very distinct direction for our ministry! One aspect of this vision is strengthening the Brookfield Lutheran culture to reflect ongoing discipleship in Jesus. Which brings us back to September 8. The pastors, staff, and lay leadership are so excited about discipleship that we are . . . for ONE DAY canceling corporate worship at 9am on Sunday morning, September 8 for Discipleship Kickoff. That’s right, for one day we are changing the schedule because no one should miss the opportunity to attend this event. On September 8 please adjust your schedule to participate in corporate worship at 7:45am or 10:45am. Then plan to be present for Discipleship Kickoff in the Worship and Family Life Center at 9am. Brookfield Lutheran has great opportunities to grow as a disciple of Jesus whether you are a lifelong Lutheran or young in faith.
