With that out of the way, Ill begin. I think it has already been a norm for organized GvG to occur in DN every now and then. What is interesting and also perplexing is that, the standard or yardstick to have GvG is, more often than not, by having a GROUP PVP. The question is why should Group PVP be the only yardstick for determining a guilds capabilities? Shouldnt a guild be judged not only by their group pvp abilities but ALSO the PVP capabilities of each individual guild member as well? One might argue that, oh because group pvp shows chemistry, strategy and teamwork. but lets face it, dont lie to yourself. In the absence of a strategist in a group pvp setting, more often so you would find yourself in a (mind my language here) gang bang of a battlefield, random skills flying around and just a bloody mess. Is that considered skillful to you? I know it isnt for me, its hard to judge skill level based on group pvp alone. Dont get me wrong, Group pvp has its place. A well-orchestrated group pvp strategy under an influential leader definitely portrays the chemistry, strategy and teamwork that group pvp is supposed to bring out in PVP players. Thus, To fill that void, i believe GvG should also include KOF mode where the skills of EACH individual member of the guild are tested; where all other factors are negated and its only you and your skills. Hence, my proposition to all PVP guilds of SW/HW to embrace this movement of mine; to use both 1v1 AND group PVP BOTH for future GvG endeavours. xSolareas, over and out.
