Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion, Im not imposing my views on other people. Recently I have seen my friends and other people making fun and even criticising Maria Sarapova just because she doesnt know who is Sachin Tendulkar. I dont see why we Indians are surprised to even hear that. She belongs to a nation where the sport cricket is not even heard of let alone play it. And compared to the worldwide popularity of football and tennis, cricket is just a humble sport with moderate number of followers and countries playing it. So whats the commotion that some other sports personality doesnt know who Sachin Tendulkar is. What if the foreign journalists ask the same thing to our sports stars, someone from baseball or rugby. Im sure well be equally clueless too. Our media should refrain from asking these questions it. Anyway just a thought I wanted to share PS: I like Sachin too and hes the greatest sport man I have ever seen. This post does not intend to disrespect him in any way. Its a just a thought that there can a other side of a story too. :)
