(wink-wink) Said Policeman stops an elderly couple this morning for running a stop sign, as Said Policeman makes the stop and begins to walk up to the vehicle, he notices the driver tosses something up in the window, now keep in mind, he has seen this trick before, Its a Bible, yep the ole Bible trick, so Said Policeman advises Driver, Sir, the reason I stopped you, you ran the stop sign back here coming out on to the highway! he says, Sir Im sorry, I realize what I did when I saw the lights behind me, I had my mind on getting some donuts before church! His wife, turns red and elbows him and gives him the evil eye, he says, What, honey?, she says, Hes a Policeman, and you mentioned donuts!, he says, Sir I honestly didnt mean anything by that, I promise!, Said Policeman, said, I understand, I love donuts too, especially a fresh out of the oven glazed cruller! Him and his wife let out a sigh of relief, and started chuckling, and he says, Am I gonna get a ticket?, Said Policeman, says No sir, thats one of the best excuses Ive heard in almost 20 yrs. and the Bible up in the windshield, was classic! LOL
