Disconnected ! Helpl ! Im disconnected Electronically neglected The world cant contact me Hoorah, I think Im free Free from feeling panic when my batterys getting low I havnt got my charger What to do, where to go I could go down to the river watch and wander where it flows or walk along the meadow and see the wild flowers grow I could watch the clouds take shape Then think about my phone because thats what I do In my technological zone I could sit and read a paper book Get lost inside its tale It wouldnt bleep or ring or buzz Or tell me this calls failed I could queue outside a call box then listen for the pips check ive got sufficient change Before I purse my lips I could still achieve my goals Hear the stories, feel alive As I did before my mobile phone should I really feel deprived I could write my friends a letter lick a stamp and stick it on Pop it in the post box Good feeling when its done ! Im writing this in lead with a rubber on the train and later when my phone is fixed Ill use my pencil again.
