Discouraged. No matter what happens in this town people have to argue and bicker. What happened to cant we all just get along. I belong to CERT/SART teams in 4 towns. One of those towns we work closely with the town manager. I listen to how the town comes together to work for the good of its community. I watch as he works endless hours. I see a different atmosphere. A different response to town needs and wants. It is a thriving community. (I am not familiar with their Selectman so wont comment on that.) I know Ill be disliked for this post. Ill be called out for saying something someone wont think is true or Im putting the town down. NOT what Im trying to convey. I am NOT saying there isnt good here. There ARE great people here with so much potential in getting what we need/want....a better (budget, full police force, new school books, infrastructure, etc, etc. We could achieve this if we interact and work together differently...it would go a long way. Question: is there a citizens group that meets to discuss what ideas we have to better Winsted? These ideas can be brought to the Board of Selectman in a group effort?
