Discouragement happens. If more people told the truth about it I believe less people would surrender to it. There have been times everyone thought I was doing so great in life and they didnt know I was preaching discouraged, counseling discouraged, praying discouraged. Making jokes getting hundreds of likes discouraged. Truthfully, leaving church after some of the most powerful services and packed pews discouraged. There has not been one but several seasons Ive experienced this. It happens. There is nothing wrong with you. You only get discouraged because your courage came under attack. You desired something, believed God for it and the battle in your mind and from circumstances wore you down. Admit it. I prayed my way through some seasons, I cried on the inside through others. I talked to people I trusted through others. Every season has been different. One thing I do is force myself to pray anyway. Pour into somebody else and give them what I need. It helps me not feel sorry for myself and I find a reason to be grateful. And after awhile, I see the light and step into it. Be encouraged my friend. Only people with courage get discouraged. God has not given you a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power, love and a sound mind. Its ok not to be ok because you are on your way to being ok again!
