Discussing with this American person who believes Indigenous - TopicsExpress

Discussing with this American person who believes Indigenous people (Mexicans) should be kicked out of the U.S. because they are illegal aliens....: you need to educate yourself Kelly.... check out the doctrine of discovery then you will see who the illegal aliens are. But just in case you are too lazy to study for yourself I will sum it up for you. The Doctrine of Discovery is based upon two papal bulls issued by popes of the catholic church. These popes gave permission for the various monarchs of Europe to claim land where there were no European Christians living there. This land was referred to as Terra Nullius, meaning unoccupied. The Indigenous people you are referring to above were not considered as humans and therefore had no right to own land. The doctrine of discovery is still used by the courts of the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand and Australia to justify their being on these lands. As any educated person can see the doctrine of discovery is bogus and is based on some of the most corrupt human feelings and basest instincts. Your family coming here a few generations ago does not make it legal or right. If it is legal, the legality is based upon a corrupt doctrine, just like slavery was. If your family had stolen say a magnificent and beautiful diamond and you passed it down to each other and walked around showing if off, bragging to others just how awesome you are because you have this diamond, that would still not make you rightful and legal owners of that diamond. The people you stole it from would see you walking around and would know.....:)
