Discussion about curing PRAWNS/COON-SHRIMP (& herring).... A member messaged a Q asking if my egg cure will work on shrimp for steelhead fishing. The powder chem/color cures can work on these but I prefer variious brine cures for fishing both steelhead (milder) & salmon (more sodium sulfite, or rock salt). > I did post my custom brine egg cure below, but the latest commercial cure company brines are excellent (for prawns AND herring). In some you can add squid or tuna oil for a variance - just for the krill of it. TIP: Try curing these baits in 2 DIFFERENT COLORS; either diff color on each side, or front/back, or top/bottom - in such as pink/dark-purple for shrimp & blue/chartreuse-green combo for herring. ...
