Disdain, Denial, and Hubris Rafael Elias November 13, 2014 Like a battered child, Liberals seem to find a justification for everything and anything that Obama and the Democrats do to them. The latest example came in the form of not one, nor two, but three separate occasions when Jonathan Gruber, a professor at MIT, stated that the premise of drafting Obamacare was to lie and to make it confusing so as to take advantage of the “stupidity of the American people” (actual quotes, below). What Liberals don’t seem to realize is that when Gruber says this, he is referring precisely to them, to all those Liberals that supported and defended (many still do) this aberration of a law; because no Republican or Conservative I know ever believed a word the administration said about the bill. We always knew that you would not be able to keep your plan nor your doctor; that it would add to the deficit; that the whole thing could only work if the government “mandated” the young and healthy to buy in so as to subsidize the sick and the elderly. None of them, not Obama, not Sibelius, not Gruber fooled us. WE were not the stupid ones that Gruber says were fooled into believing the government’s lies. It was (and still are) those Liberals that to this day not only defend the bill but have a never ending source of excuses for this president and his minions. The worst part of this is that this is not the first time that Obama and his acolytes show complete disdain for the American People, for the voters, for those that actually put him on the job. Just take a look at the following quotes from some of them: · “You did not build that!” Barack Obama · “Americans, behave yourselves!” Barack Obama · “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.” Hillary Clinton · We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good. Hillary Clinton · “There is nobody in this country who got rich on their own. Nobody.” Elizabeth Warren · They proposed it and that passed, because the American people are too stupid to understand the difference. Jonathan Gruber · Basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass. Jonathan Gruber This of course, can be understood by just looking at the opinion that this arrogant president has of himself. The statement that follows speaks volumes about his hubris. Think about it, if what he said here is what he thinks of the people he appointed to be part of his team, what does he really think about the rest of us mortals? And yes, especially of you, Liberals, that swallow everything he says line, hook, and sinker. · “I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.” Barack Obama Or how about this piece of slobber from his lackey Valerie Jarrett? · “He knows exactly how smart he is. . . . I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually. . . . He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do. He would never be satisfied with what ordinary people do.” Valerie Jarrett Clearly, when somebody has such a concept of himself and that is combined with the full disdain of the people that vote, it is only normal to have Obama say things like: · “I got re-elected in part because people did think I was trustworthy.” Barack Obama Trustworthy, he says, after the American people have had to live through a true tsunami of lies from him, and from those around him, as you can see here: · “… In fact what began spontaneously in Benghazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo where, of course, as you know, there was a violent protest outside of our embassy– –sparked by this hateful video.” Susan Rice · “Bowe Bergdahl served the United States with honor and distinction. Susan Rice · “What difference, at this point, does it make?” Hillary Clinton The sad part for Liberals (or at least it should be, if they were not suffering from battered person syndrome) is that the lies and deception predate Obama … and threaten to come back! · I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base. Hillary Clinton · On a couple of occasions in the last weeks, I just said some things that I knew not to be the case. Hillary Clinton And of course, never let accountability get in the way of a good demonstration of hubris: · Im not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are (sic) the president. Hillary Clinton · “Some people can kiss my ass.” Eric Holder · “Do they really, really know?” Eric Holder Or a little good old-fashioned fear-mongering: · “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate.” Nancy Pelosi So, at the end of the day, if ever voters happen to finally prove that they are not that stupid after all and they are beginning to catch up to the shenanigans of the Democrats (yes, even some Liberals are beginning to get a whiff of reality) you can always count on these Democrats getting into denial mode. · I do not believe what happened the other night is a wave... There was no wave of approval for the Republicans. I wish them congratulations, they won the election, but there was no wave of approval for anybody. There was an ebbing, an ebb tide, for us. Nancy Pelosi · “This is what a successful presidency looks like.” Paul Krugman Mind you, all of the above are actual quotes, as spoken (verbatim) by these people. Now stop and think for a second, just imagine, if any of these things had been spoken by a Republican what would those Liberals that defend Democrats at all costs be saying? Those that still defend and justify this president and this administration are just playing into Obama’s game; as Gruber stated clearly, they count on their stupidity to go along. They are being played as useful idiots. And many still don’t even realize it. I really don’t know if this is more tragic or sad, but I certainly hope it can be reversed starting with this new wave of elected Republicans and continuing with a good, solid, Republican President in 2016.
