Disgusting display, to say the least. When it is televised, it becomes OUR business. The event (non-event supposedly) was given official imprimatur with the attendance of PNoy (yes, the same PNoy who graced the Vice Ganda premiere). The awe-struck masses were rightfully given their places outside the church, rightfully separated by barriers in front of a large screen that projected their dreams, the same dreams they have offered to the main characters of this wedding performance by their (the masses) patronage. Culture nurtured, a consciousness shaped, a reality borne, values institutionalized. Nothing less than vulgar display in a country where 60% are dirt poor. Two million for a gown. More immoral than immoral! This should have been a private occasion, but no. They had to flaunt it.
