Disney opens ‘Star Wars’ casting to video submissions. Disney and LucasFilms have posted an open call for video submissions for two lead roles in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. submissions can be made via opencastingcall2013. The deadline for video submission is Dec. 3, according to the website. Disney is holding in-person casting in the United Kingdom and the USA, and after a huge turnout in Bristol, England, the Glasgow auditions have been postponed to find a larger venue. Stateside, casting director Maryellen Aviano will be in Chicago on Thursday to hold auditions, and other meet and greets with casting will happen this month in Troy, Mich.; Austin, Texas; and Nashville.
