Display Features 7 TFT LCD Monitor: The XDVD710 single-DIN DVD receiver features a motorized retractable 7 TFT Active Matrix, 16:9 touch-screen LCD display with an adjustable viewing angle. The resolution of the display is 480 x 234 (RGB) for a total of 336,960 pixels with a contrast ratio of 300:1. The screen has a 120° horizontal viewing angle (60° left or right), and a 90° vertical viewing angle (30° up and 60° down). The display is retractable and slides in and out electronically. Display Angle Adjustment: You can adjust the units retractable monitors vertical angle for better visibility. There are 6 display angles to choose from. Picture Adjustment: You can adjust the displays brightness, sharpness, color, contrast and tint from 0 to +20. TV Shape: You can set the monitors aspect ratio to 16:9 or 4:3 when viewing a DVD movie. Video Lockout: For safety reasons, you cannot view a video source on the built-in monitor as long as the vehicle is in motion. In order to display video, the supplied yellow/blue wire must be hardwired into the vehicles parking brake light circuit, and the vehicles parking brake must be engaged and disengaged in a preset sequence. Secondary LCD Display: The Dual XDVD710 is equipped with a secondary LCD Display which displays audio source information when the units 7 TFT LCD monitor is closed. 12/24 Hour Clock: The units built-in clock will display 12-hour AM/PM time in USA frequency spacing mode. In European frequency spacing mode, the clock will display 24-hour time. Hard-Key Controls: In addition to the touchscreen controls, the unit includes frequently used buttons along the front lower panel of the unit; including two 3-way rotary dials. Anti-Theft Code: You may program the unit with a 4 digit security code. Once the unit has been programmed with a security code, the code must be entered to use the unit after it has been disconnected from power for more than 5 minutes. Audio Section 24-Bit D-A Converter: For superb quality audio playback from DVD and CD discs the XDVD710 is equipped with a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter. CEA2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the XDVD710 are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the XDVD710 are as follows: CEA2006 Specs: 17 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N) Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts) 5-CH Preamp Outputs: The XDVD710 has 5 channels of preamp outputs: front L/R, rear L/R, and mono-subwoofer. The mono-subwoofer output is non-fading and has an independent audio level setting from 0 to 7 dB. Preset EQ Curves: The Dual CD Receiver features the following preset EQ curves to customize your music listening - Flat, Jazz, Classic, Pop, Rock, News, Urban, Movie, Rave, Techno, or User. Bass And Treble: The User EQ mode allows you to independently adjust the Bass and Treble from -7 to +7 dB. Loudness: Activating this feature will enhance the bass and treble frequencies when listening to music at low volume. Turn-On Volume: You can program the headunits turn-on volume, so it powers up with the same volume level each time. Radio Functions AM/FM Tuner: The Dual XDVD710 features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek and preset tuning. Preset Tuning: The XDVD710 provides 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank and allows you to store up to 12 stations in each bank. You store a total of 36 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets. Stations can be stored manually or automatically. Preset stations can be directly selected using the headunits touchscreen controls or the included remote control. Preset Scan: Once you have your preset stations stored, the unit can scan your programmed presets for 10 seconds each in current AM/FM band. Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. European Tuning: The built-in tuner can be set to US or European tuning. Disc Playback Disc Compatibility: The Dual XDVD710 supports playback of DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and CD-R/RW discs. MP3/WMA Playback: The XDVD710 can play MP3/WMA audio files that have been recorded on CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs. The files must be recorded in ISO 9660 Level 1 or 2, Joliet file or Yellow Book Mode 1 or Mode 2 format. Compatible bit rates are 40 to 320 kbps for MP3, and 40-192 kbps for WMA. Playback functions include file skip, fast forward/rewind (2x, 4x, 8x, 20x), file repeat, folder repeat, file random play, and direct file select. Electronic Skip Protection: This unit is equipped with a high-speed flash memory buffer for skip resistant playback. This ESP offers skip protection for DVD, CD, MP3, and WMA discs. Touch Controls: During DVD playback, you can control certain operations simply by touching an area of the screen. You can touch the bottom left two-thirds of the screen to start the current chapter over, or the bottom right two-thirds of the screen to skip to the next chapter. Touching the top left one-third of the screen allows you to access the main menu; while touching the top right one-third of the screen allows you to search for a scene by time, title or chapter. Pressing the bottom center of the screen activates the DVD Disc Menu control buttons, while pressing the top center briefly displays the information screen. Direct Search: During DVD or CD playback, you can use the headunits touchscreen keypad or the numeric keypad on the remote control to access tracks directly. Fast Forward/Fast Reverse: When playing a DVD or CD, there are 4 fast-play speeds in both directions (2x, 4x, 8x, and 20x). Repeat Play: When playing a DVD, you can repeat the current chapter or title. For MP3/WMA, you can repeat the current file or folder. A-B Repeat allows you to repeat any portion of a DVD. Multi-Angle Display: This function allows you to choose the viewing angle of scenes that were shot from a number of different angles. Note: This function is limited to DVDs recorded with multiple camera angles. Parental Control: Parental Control allows you to restrict DVD playback according to a predetermined level. You can select a parental control rating from 0-8, which is protected by a 4-digit password. AV Connections iplug: The included Dual iplug allows you to listen to your portable music player (equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack) through the Dual XDVD710. The Dual iplug consists of a female 3.5mm connector with an attached 40 cable terminated by a pair of male stereo RCA jacks which plugs into the headunits rear-panel auxiliary A/V input. Multiple mounting options allow you to install the iplug in the most convenient location for easy front-of-dash access. The iplug features a self-adhesive backing and integrated mounting flanges to firmly secure the unit in your vehicle. A/V Input: The Dual XDVD710 features a rear-panel audio/video input. The rear-panel audio/video input consists of a composite video RCA connector and a pair of stereo RCA jacks. Dual Video Outputs: The XDVD710 is equipped with two rear-panel video outputs (composite video) allowing you to add external monitors. Camera Input: This RCA composite video jack allows you connect an optional rear view camera. The head unit features a function that automatically switches to the rear camera image when a rear camera is installed on your vehicle (you must connect the white/brown lead of the headunit to your vehicles reverse headlights). When the shift lever is in the reverse position, the screen automatically switches to the rear view camera. In the menu, you can switch the image from Normal to Reverse
