Disregard the title of this interview. A Tamil asylum seeker involved in the final phase of the war was interviewed. I hope his responses shed some light on some of the controversies and mixed reports regarding the way the LTTE handled the final phase of the war. Of course, the truth is still largely unknown. However, people fear the ruthless SL army more so than the non-existent LTTE movement. It is a natural reaction for asylum seekers to say things the SL government would rather hear. Saying things against a dead movement brings little threat. The man interviewed by the BBC was very brave to say what he said.
