Dissed by many film reviewers for not being cinematically exciting - TopicsExpress

Dissed by many film reviewers for not being cinematically exciting enough (it worked in a minimalist language akin with a lot of low budget Iranian film - sometimes closer to filmed theatre), Atiq Rahimi’s film, The Patience Stone (based on his own novel), was interior, intimate & intense with really extraordinary (essentially monologue) acting by Golshifteh Farahani. I was lucky to catch it just before it ended its NYC run. Hard to know where next to see it. waytooindie/interview/interview-atiq-rahimi-patience-stone/
