Distractions, they are literally everywhere. Perhaps this is one of my personal greatest faults when It comes to living for Jesus. Even now as I am typing this, I could be learning more about him by reading. Idolatry comes in many forms, one is the love of things. Materialism has crept its way into our lives as born again believers. I believe one day we will look up from our smart phones, Tvs, laptops, tablets or what ever captures our attention and ask why does our country have no hope, when did it die? If we as christians have the key within our hearts that gives hope to all, but we are focused on technology, we have no interaction with others therefore Satan wins as these current generations grow up not knowing of hope that endures all earthly problems but believing everything that presents itself on the internet and TV as truth. This is why all of us technology using believers of Christ need to actually start going backwards with our technology use... less and less until we are left with the basics. Because we all know technology fails but Gods truths found in his word endure all.
