Distributed Pioneer Generation Packages to some of our Pioneers in Blks 125, 126, 127 and 128 this morning. Several of them have mobility issues. While the PGP and subsequently Medishield Life can help with the financial burdens of care, more needs to be done to make it less onerous for the family members in bringing these older folks with mobility issues for their regular follow up appointments at the GP or polyclinics. Many families also have the issue of caring for these older folks when they go to work, often leaving the elderly folks at home by themselves. Having a senior activity centre will definitely be helpful. We will work with the relevant authorities to push for more eldercare facilities to be sited in the heartlands.
