Diva vs Humble Humble yourselves...and He will lift you up. James 4:10 NIV Dr Diva can sound so much more appealing than Miss or Mr Humble. Oh, yes! Give me fame, give me glory, let me be adored, make me brilliant, talented but cool; attractive, charming, a pin up-yes, give me all these things and more. If theres a choice, chances are were picking the Diva life! But God says, Humble yourselves. Yes! Humility is on Gods agenda for you, not diva-ility. Its a heart that says, less of me, God, and more of You; let me be last and others first, give me sacrifice, endurance, second place-as I put You and Your way before me and my way! Now, if this were a boxing match with diva attitude in the red corner and humility in the blue, youd be putting your bets on the red corner to win. Diva sounds so much more powerful, in control, always ready with a surprise punch. Humility sounds like a weak and pathetic pushover, a loser with a capital L! Lol So why does God tell us, Humble yourselves? Does He want all His followers to be weak individuals who get walked over? No! The Bible says, Humble yourselves...and [God] will lift you up. Get a spiritual piggy-back or investment from the creator of the universe, have the Almighty lift you up on to His shoulders and you will see God do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20 NIV)
