Diversity enriches ones life. Try it. Six years ago today we were married at the church in East Oxford. Dr Sabina Alkire, my most wonderful room mate and renowned scholar of poverty, performed the Christian ceremony in her capacity as ordained minister with the Church of England. I too was ordained as a monk at Taung Pu Lu World Peace Monastery in Boulder Creek, Northern California in 2002. I am actively against Islamophobia. U Cho, my late uncle by marriage to my aunt, was a Muslim, a Red Flag Communist.
