Divide and conquer was routine policy for Nazis in German society. Policing the population was a matter of national security. Many priests and bishops stayed comfortable by cooperating. The split in the Church caused by human weakness allowed confusion to reign in Germany. Nazi government policy complemented lawyers and docs efforts to take lives "not worth living". That led to gas chambers. Ultimately, all was tied to jobs and government benefits. Government became god, and enforcement was for the greater good. These creepy protocols are becoming predictable. Obamacare and IRS enforcement will give a new level of control over Main Street business, hospitals, and nursing home centers. Nazi = National Socialist Germany was a highly civilized society that devolved quickly with Nazi tactics as its debt service hampered growth. To ignore history is to repeat it... or is this time different?
