Divine Justice for the Soul after Death : The spiritual elements - TopicsExpress

Divine Justice for the Soul after Death : The spiritual elements of men are immortal, and they survive physical death. Among these spiritual elements, soul is the spiritual self of man, and it is, responsible for the actions done by man in this life. After a man passes away, the soul remains in this world for three days and nights, pondering and brooding over the actions done during the life- time in this world. The soul experiences joyfulness for good deeds done, and misery for bad deeds. At the dawn of the fourth day, the soul travels to the spiritual world. The Daenâ religious conscience or Kardâr representation of action (in life)’ confronts the soul in the form of a maiden. If the souls actions in life were good, pious, and benevolent, the Daena appears blissful and cheerful, and the soul experiences unprecedented heavenly bliss. On the other hand, if the souls actions were wicked, the Daena, appears frightful, and the soul experiences misery and distress as never before. Therafter the soul appears before a heavenly tribunal, and divine justice is administered on the principle: “Bad unto the doers of bad, Good blessing unto the doers of good! (Yasna 43.5)”.
