For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. Isaiah-Hebrew Prophet (54:2-4) Our heavenly Father is directing us to enlarge our lives! He is with us, eagerly walking with us. Available and accessible to us. With Him, all things are possible. Stretch....lengthen...strengthen...your tent curtains....your tent chords...your tent stakes. In other words, get out of your comfort zone! The life He summons us to is dynamic! It requires us to grow, apply ourselves, be innovative and flexible, teachable and tenacious. It requires us to be willing, to be open to new experiences, to, well, do the one thing most of us abhor---change! But, then He puts his finger on two major life-defeaters: Fear and Shame, the two bullies we all face in this life. Fear, like a bully, desires to intimidate us, define us, humiliate us, and Shame corals us into a little room and sternly commands, Youre nothing and never will amount to anything! Dont come out--ever! But, our heavenly Father summons us, and in His life-giving words is His inherent power that connects us to Life as He knows it. And His Life calls us to really live!
