Diving with Jon Brackbill and David Schmitz last night at LJS. Surf was higher than normal; I lost my Suunto D4 in the surf on the way out. Strap probably snapped, again. Id be forever grateful if someone finds and returns it. Highlights of the dive - lots of big (~3 ft) horn sharks and a couple of small juveniles, more than Ive ever seen before. A few normal sized lobster, and the biggest lobster Ive ever seen. Thing looked as big as my thigh. Also saw a ton of the usual critters, string rays, big shrimp-looking things, halibut, misc schools of fish (including one that swam through us and pelted me in the chest a few times on the swim back to shore). Surge was noticeable at depth (~60 fsw) with lots of particulate in the water, but at least the water was warm and the sights were amazing.
