Division Two Round Up PILKINGTON RECS ended STANLEY RANGERS winning start to the season as they triumphed 22-8. Daniel Lynch – a try and three goals – played a crucial role in Pilks win, whilst Andrew Knapper, Joshua Lynch and Daniel Filson added the other touchdowns. In response Stanley were limited to a try in each half from Daniel Grice. ASKAM were too good for LEIGH EAST and eventually ran out 25-6 winners. Leigh could only manage a Joshua Gilluley try and Chris Penn conversion, whereas the hosts crossed for four tries and Kristian Tyson landed four goals. Mark Tyson (2), Barry Pugh and Ben Lewney were the men to cross the whitewash and centre Michael Wilson landed a late field-goal. BRADFORD DUDLEY HILL recorded a comfortable 36-10 home win over WATERHEAD. Chris Carter, David Harris and Alan Williamson – plus the first of Kiel Lancashire’s five goals – meant the hosts led 16-0 at the mid-way point, before the win was completed by four second half tries. Joshua Denbigh, Greg Worrall, a second from Harris and Eric Johnson were the men to cross the line. Luke O’Mara and Chris Geoghegan both claimed a brace as OVENDEN got the better of CASTLEFORD PANTHERS 36-6. Matthew Dawson, Sean Dyson and Nathan Smith also crossed and four Niall Brady goals completed the Halifax side’s points scoring. The only bright spot for the Panthers was a Craig Savage try and James Clarkson goal.
