Divisions running: Late Model (limited + CT525) *.*.*.*. ????? ???? ????? (stay tuned) Pro Street Crate Sportsman Super Street Extreme 4 RWD 4 There is a chance that ONE more division (looking at the list above, I am sure you can figure it out) will be added to this program. As soon as this decision is final, I will post it here. Doug and I had a long conversation tonight about this and we both did agree with what some people are calling for. So, having said that, HERE ARE THE FACTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Vintage drivers: you will not be running this weekend, as to honor the commitment to Cherokee that we had, but we will be looking at making this an every week class after this week. Doug will be talking to Mr. Buff at Cherokee and Buster will be getting in touch with the other Vintage drivers about this. Once that takes place, we will adjust the schedule. If you have any questions or comments about this, let me or Buster or Doug or Bruce know. SECA Crates - some of the experts around these parts have rumored that you would only be racing 12 times at Lancaster. This is far from the truth. Right now, you have 17 races planned. Please make sure that you have mailed in your membership money and forms to SECA management by Saturday, in order to be eligible for their points program. You WILL NOT be allowed to count races for SECA championship points until your membership is paid to SECA. secaracing Late Model/CT525 you will be on the schedule at least 6 times. I talked with the promoter of East Lincoln on Saturday and I dont want to overlap races when ELS is running late model. The future of this class is uncertain, but we have to make it more affordable and the only way to do this is to support the new engine #3 and CT 525 for Lancaster. Pro Street, Crate Sportsman, Super Street and Extreme 4, you are running every week - no changes to that. Thanks for building some AWESOME looking cars and being at practice the other day. RWD 4 (stock4/semi mod 4) - you have been given a chance and so far you are responding by indicating a commitment to support the class. We will give you a race every other weekend, not every week, and will stick to the schedule that will be posted tomorrow. Your cars look great and hope to see you at all of our races. The Carolina Clash make-up date is tentatively set for May 31. If that changes, I will let you know. We have a USCS Sprint Car series race planned for April 12. All divisions running will be announced this week as soon as all the details are confirmed with the USCS owners and promoter. There are two FUEL races on the schedule and will be looking at that very closely over the next two months until our June 28 double-header with Carolina. A SECA bonus race will be planned soon. I will be talking with Timmy Mac to get that done. If you have a business and would like to purchase a sign, sponsor a division for Lancaster Super Speedway in 2014, etc. please contact me or Bruce or Doug or Buster or Michael Knight. With the weather like it has been lately, this will be a very difficult season for us, and rainouts are going to be a part of it. However, the schedule will not change. Period. If the week rains out, we will stick to the schedule and not rotate divisions around. From my personal opinion to all of you, for what it is worth, last year was a huge learning curve for all of us, especially me, and I realized I made a lot of mistakes last year and will not make them over. I am making this announcement to address as many unanswered questions and will only do so on this Facebook page - NOT the others that are out there. I have left those groups and will not be joining them again nor reading the comments on there. This page will be for information only and none will be able to comment, post comments, etc. If you have questions, call us. We will try to get the answer for you. Our numbers are on the website - lancastersuperspeedway Doug, Buster, Randy, Big Jim and all of this crew have worked very hard to make it look great and it DOES look as good as I have ever seen it. The success of this track for the next 60 years depends on all of us. It starts today. The car show was about the best I have ever seen. Thanks to Wendy and all of her support for making that such a huge success. Thank you for your time and patience. Lets go racing. Mark Huey on behalf of Doug McManus, Bruce Arrants, Buster Bell, and rest of the staff of LSS.
