Do Hindus believe that Hanuman flew to Srilanka? If they do why is it preposterous to think they had flying machines as well. So much is lost due vagaries of natural calamities, race after race vanishing, treasures of treatises and manuals of ancient sciences and arts being pillaged and destroyed we surely do have very little evidence left of ancient sciences and technology left. Asking for us to put some resources to find if we can recover these ancient sciences is frivolous and unwanted? There are some of these which could be far more advanced then even current sciences and technologies. Even many modern scientist appreciate this effort. Why is there so much outrage when such topics are raised or discussed. I also however believe that bombastic statements should be avoided but speaking or discussing such subjects and or encouraging such efforts must not be questioned or dismissed with disdain. The same scientific temper must prevail while investigating and discussing such matters. I cant for one believe that all these things mentioned in our Itihasas and puranas are just fiction and flights of imagination. Continuous subjugation by conquering tribes, nations and merceneries have made us loose many many such treasures. Let us make some effort in recovering them. It may not only benefit us but the entire mankind. Hari Om.
