Do I agree with what the Marines did in Musa Qaleh? No, but had I been in charge, I would have ensured they received a high level letter of reprimand and suspended sentence. I would have then told them to get back to the business of killing Taliban. Furthermore, I would have ensured that Ali Musa Daqduq would never see the light of day again. After all, he was a Lebanese citizen, not an Iraqi. Staff Sergeant Chamblin went into harms way to lead Marines and kill the enemy. Yes, he urinated on dead Taliban, but should he lose his Marine career as punishment? By allowing Daqduq to ultimately go free, President Barack Obama has truly urinated on the memory of five American Soldiers.
