Do Mom’s Actually Get Sick Days? I haven’t been feeling too hot the last couple of days, sinus infection if I were to self-diagnose, which in this case I am. Anyway, it’s Monday and I still feel like my head is going to explode so I chose to call into work this morning and take a sick day, which I rarely do unless it’s one of the kids that’s sick. By 8:30 this morning I had already gotten kids up and off to school, vacuumed the living room and family room cleaned the kitchen, folded a load of laundry, checked my office e-mail on my blackberry (they keep a pretty short leash), canceled a dentist appointment that I’m pretty sure I’m not feeling up to today, listed a couple of things for sale on eBay and finally brewed the 1st cup of coffee. How many of you actually take days “off” or is a day off for you catching up on other stuff you haven’t had time for? Leave me a comment and let me know how you spend time “off”.
