Do Not Despise Where You Are: See The Big Picture Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? Theyll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place! Going back to the vision, the Messenger-Angel said, The seven lamps are the eyes of GOD probing the dark corners of the world like searchlights. Zachariah 4:10 (The Message Bible) Because our vision is so finite and narrow we tend not to see the “big picture.” Many people are negative and lack vision or don’t see your vision. Because it is not their vision, some will never see what you see. This generation has been call the “microwave generation,” many want things that take time, to happen instantly. “As members of the microwave generation we have become so impatient, we find ourselves standing in front of the microwave tapping our foot yelling ‘Come on 15 seconds!’” (Bing definition) Therefore, too many, when they are starting a project or endeavor, despise the small status and beginnings. They want it big and now! Pastor Jack Hayford editor of the Spirit-Filled Bible states it this way: “we must learn to interpret circumstances from God’s standpoint.” In other words, “we need to see or situations and circumstance the way God does?” There is a brother in our church, Andre Dixon who quotes Dr. Creflo Dollar: he puts it this way “your circumstance is the circle that you stand in.” We understand that God can change our circle or have us to stand in another place. God’s standpoint is the right position to view your circumstances, problems and issues. Dr. Bill Winston says, “If you are not in the right place, you are not seeing the right thing.” Remember, where you are right now, is just that, where you are right now. It is not where you are going to be. Don’t despise where you are now… learn from it, grow from it and move to higher ground with the knowledge you acquire from it. Much love, Pastor Fleming
