You look up at it squinting, and it smiles, glaring down at you with its square face - lock-jawed so damned self-assured dragging your ragdoll ass by the hem of your pants, ripping your seams. You feign deafness. You go blind. Lose your voice. Split your mind. Puke up your excuses. Shit the bed. But it strips you naked, scrubs you with steel bristles, and cleans up your dirty mess, instead.
