When it seems the wicked and their wickedness are prevailing and God do nothing about it. Job 24:3-12 4. When it seems that God is silent. Hes not talking to us. 1Sam. 28:6 5. When we are lonely, as if we have been deserted by people and God. 1 Kings 19:4, 14 Why This May Be True 1. When there is sin in our lives. Isa. 59:1-2, Matt. 27:26, Heb. 12:14 2. When our obedience is incomplete. Gen. 12:1-4, 13;14-17, 2Cor. 10:5-6 3. When His Spirit is grieved by us. 1Sam. 28:6, Eph. 4:30 4. When we are depending on something else rather than on God. Ps. 30:6-7 5. When He has everything under perfect control. Gen. 22:10-14 6. When He has already given out the solution or the assignment to His angels. Dan. 6:21-22 7. When He has a better idea or something better to give. Matt. 26:39, Phil. 2:5-11. 8. When He had already set out the time to answer. Eg John the Baptist to be 6 months older than Jesus. Luke 1:26, 36 9. When He wants to look at our reaction. Dan. 6:10 10. When He wants the devil to do his worse and then take all the glory. John 11:3, 21-22, 32 11. When He wants to teach us something before granting our request. Mark 4:35-41 12. When His action will have a great impact. Act 12:5-11 What To Do When We Feel Like God Is Hiding 1. Tell God how exactly you feel. He understands. Elijah did, David did, Jesus did. Remember we live by faith and not by sight 2Cor. 5:7 2. Meditate on the attributes of God. His Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, love, etc 3. Keep on trusting Him. Isa. 8:17 4. Keep on holding on to His word. Job. 23:12, Matt. 28:20, Heb. 13:5 5. Keep on looking at the cross. The exhibition and the consummation of unconditional love. Ps. 30:5, Jer. 31:3, John 13:1 Remember what He has done for you on the cross. 2 Cor. 5:21 What We Can Do To Provoke God To Show Up Speedily God is a sovereign God, He does whatever He likes, as He wants and when He wants. Ps. 115:3 1. By our sacrificial giving. 1Kings 3:4-5 2. By our wholehearted and persistent prayer. 1Sam. 1:12-18, Jer. 29:11-13, Luke 18:1-8, 11:5-8 (8) 3. By our unreserved total obedience to His word. Gen. 22:10-14, John 2:3-5 4. By our genuine praises. Hab. 3:17-19, Act 16:25, Matt. 14:6-9 (9) 5. By meditating on His word. 1Sam.3:21 In conclusion, God does not hide from us, we are the one hiding from Him sometimes like Adam (Gen. 3:8-9). When He seems to be hiding, He does that sometimes to help us to find Him, to remain in relationship with Him, has already worked behind the scene or has something better, unique and special for us. Remember His word, ‘I’ll never leave you nor forsake you’. Gen. 28:15, Duet. 31:6, 8, Josh. 1:5, Heb. 13:5, Rom. 8:35-39. Remain blessed!
