Do YOU have a smart meter on your house? Ive been doing my homework and researching many articles... this one is pretty straight forward, though some may tell me that blogs dont count... Not only is this a health issue, but, WOW, the amount of data that is collected about our personal lives in REAL TIME is scary. Not only do they know how much power we use, but they can tell how many people live there, when we have our meals, which appliances we use and how often, when we go to bed, when we are out of town and get this... the power company can give our data to law enforcement (Ummm... 4th Amendment anybody?) to be used against us! AND the power company DOES NOT have to tell us ANYTHING. I just called my power company (SDG&E). I asked if I had a smart meter. Why yes Mrs. Madlener you do... And how long has it been there? Since April of 2011. Can I change it out for the analogue meter? Yes, but theres a $75 fee and a monthly $10 charge... Ill TAKE IT! lol Do yourself a favor and find out about smart meters.
