Do YOU think it is HAUNTED YES or NO ? History & Haunting of : Millenium Manor House, Alcoa, Tennessee ,U.S.A Millennium Manor was built to survive Armageddon and a thousand years beyond. Millennium Manor was built from June 1937 to December, 1946, by William Andrew Nicholson and his wife Fair. They had moved to Alcoa, Tennessee, from Pickens County, Georgia, where he was a mason and carpenter. In 1937 he got a job with the Alcoa plant as a replacement for striking workers. Mr. Nicholson started construction of Millennium Manor at the age of 61 while maintaining a full-time job at the Alcoa plant across the street. Of course, no architectural oddity would be complete without tales of hauntings, and it is said that you can still see candlelight through the windows and hear Mr. Nicholson working on the house at all hours, and others have heard activity going on when the house is uninhabited, even during the day time. Another rumor had it that William Nicholson was a devil worshipper and a cruel man, but that was far from the truth. He was more of an eccentric man with ideas that he could live forever, and many found that to be odd and started making false claims about him. Soon vandals had stolen or broken everything inside. Juanita Shaw and her son bought the building to use as a meeting place for the Odd Fellows, as a rental property, and as a Haunted House for the Jaycees. Millennium Manor was later purchased on February 21, 1995 at auction for $39,000 by Dean Fontaine. The Nicholsons did not belong to a church in Tennessee, but they were very religious people who believed in a literal interpretation of Revelations 20:6...Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. In 1950 Fair Nicholson died of cancer at age 72. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson had been married over 50 years. William Nicholson was quoted as saying, It was hard to be parted from her after so many years. My wife believed in me but her faith in eternal life was weak. She tried to believe, but she had her doubts. There came times when she talked of dying. Fifteen years later, at the age of 88 and nearly blind and deaf, Mr. Nicholson joined her in Clarks Grove Cemetery. The day before he went to the hospital he told the pastor from the church next-door to the Castle that if God doesnt intervene soon, I will die. Millennium Manor - Haunted or not VIDEO here > https://youtube/watch?v=Ffxpywk9GV8 This is a private residence, but each Memorial Day, Fontaine holds an Open House. Rentals may be available, at the owners discretion. en.wikipedia.org/ I had some family rent this place for a while before it got fixed up. There is a room that they dont open up for the Memorial day visits that looks like it should be a bathroom but the chair (toilet) doesnt have a hole and its just concrete and then there is a slab instead of a tub. Looks like a torture type area to me. Before they fixed the downstairs, it was really scary. My uncle had stayed there when the family was renting it and said he woke up in the middle of the night and there was a woman hovering over him and when he moved, she floated off into the wall. Libby Berry spirithollow.blogspot.co.uk/ There are plenty of urban legends surrounding Millennium Manor, including stories of haunted stairwells, ghosts and other super-natural events, but current owner Knoxville Fire Department Capt. Dean Fontaine dismisses them as tall tales. The Tennessee truth is that his renovated house is reinforced to carry out its original purpose: to stand the test of time.
