Do You Know That National Assembly Budget For The Year 2015 is 150 Billion Naira? Came across this information while researching for something today in the office The National Assembly has proven to be austerity-proof as they maintain a budget of N150bn despite weak government finances The information left me angry and depressed Angry that we are using such humungous sum to maintain a few privileged Nigerians in the name of answering senators and House Of Reps Members These group of people are not up to one percent of our total population and yet they are entitle to such colossal amount Depressed that we are busy chasing rat while glossing over fundamental issue that requires our attention and action People! No serious country in the world outside Nigeria spend such colossal amount on their legislators No we cant continue this way, something has to give This is not about APC nor PDP rather the soul of the country APC lawmakers led by Aminu Tambuwal are collecting the allowance without raising any objection and PDP senators led by David Mark are also beneficiaries of this largesse and at the end, gullible Nigerians like me and you chanting APC change and Gej till 2019 on social media are the losers Just imagine the effect of 4 Million Dollars if properly channel to Small and scale business sector which is the engine room of any serious economy I was telling a group of people this evening that even if we succeed in voting out Gej, Buhari wont perform nothing out of the ordinary simply because the System as it were is designed to trap who ever that occupy the seat and make him look clueless and more like a failure unless If we restructure and reform the whole process Nigeria is in dire need of reform, our oil revenue without corruption and stealing is not enough for 160 million people and yet some people we elected to represent us are living a luxury life at our expenses because the system encourages it We need to ask questions We need to demand for reform and re structuring of the system of government we run here We need to emphasize on building our institution and making it strong and robust My dear Members of National Assembly, What are you doing with 150 Billion Naira budget in this era of austerity and when the price of crude oil is hovering between 48/50 Dollars?
