Do You Know This Mare? This girl has been running at large for at least two weeks in the Medical Lake area between west Hallet and Ritchie road. We picked her up today from a good Samaritan who contacted us after SCRAPS and Spokane county sheriff both refused to pick the horse up. SCRAPS told her they do not deal with large animals, and the sheriffs office told her the only thing they could do was shoot it and to call us. So even though we are more than full we took in this good looking sweet girl, because we thought a car hitting her or her destroying even more crops and being a public nuisance or hurting an unsuspecting person was worse than having to make room. The only thing we can see that is wrong with her is she is in desperate need of a pedicure, and may be in foal. She leads well, and trailered without a problem, she picks up all four feet. If she is yours please contact us and have something to show proof of ownership, if no one claims her in two weeks we will consider her abandoned and she will be put up for adoption after her quarantine period.
