Do You Still Sparkle I remember standing in the pouring rain, The branches on the trees where I stood, Offered me little protection from the storm, Looking down, I could see my heart, As it beat within me, It was bleeding and broken, much as it was, The day you walked away from me, My tears were hidden by the raindrops, As they ran down my cheeks, Then I saw you walking towards me from far away, And as I tried to dry my tears, I wondered, Would your eyes still hold the sparkle that I used to see, Or have you become cold and distant, Stepping out from under the trees, I walked towards you, Hope upon hope, with each step, That your sparkle was still there
