Do any of the heralds in the kingdom regularly use a baton? If so what does the one you use look like? I have been reading up on them, and it seemed like one more thing to identify a herald besides the tabard or baldric, and get people to listen when you are making announcements. The problem I have encountered is what the length of a baton should be? Some say they are only two feet in length and others five to six feet. And the diameter is said to be anywhere from 1 1/4 inches to 2 inches. White seems to be the predominate color (historically many were black) though it is said they can be decorated with ribbons or the arms of the group the herald serves. Are there any Kingdom customs regarding batons?
