Do not approach too close or try to distract, call or pet a working service dog - EVER. Make sure children respect this too! If you are a serious dog lover, make polite contact with the person first then ask if you might be able to greet their dog - respect their answer and wait until they release their dog from working and give you the ok to approach and greet the dog. This is great advice not just with service dogs but for all dogs!
