Do not forget that in October 1962 when Soviet Union wanted to install Nukes in Cuba, US went berserk and nearly started the WW3. Quite rightfully as that Soviet act would disturb world balance in favor of Soviet Union. 52 years later we have exactly the same situation only reversed and now if Russia would not react all would be fine; Ukraine would join NATO and US would hire Crimea for indefinite time and build the world biggest military base.
