Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. ~John 14:1 What a truth?!?! Life throws a lot of us at times. Crazy schedules, sick kids, double the workload, flat tires, and much more. I am sure we could all share some pretty crazy stories about how crazy our day was yesterday or how crazy life has been lately. I am also certain that there are times when we feel as if we just cant take any more or we will break. Am I right? Not only does Jesus tell us to come to Him when we are weary and heavy laden so that He might give us rest, but He also tells that we WILL have troubles. Everybody say what???? Hold up, Jesus. Am I hearing you right? But hold on because He doesnt stop there. He encourages us by reminding us of how He has overcome the world. He has conquered death and brought life. That means that even if the laundry pile never stops growing (seriously, I think an evil laundry troll shows up when we are sleeping just to multiply the pile), the job load is more than expected, and our kids get sick at the most inconvenient times, Jesus empowers us to carry on. Jesus gives us the strength to be His light. We got this my friends! With Jesus, anything is possible. So next time we start sweating the small stuff, lets remember that Jesus conquered death so we can conquer the laundry pile.
