Do not read the WNEP-TV comment section on the Bonacci murder trial, unless you want to see people spouting off about the laws they know NOTHING about, or about how they think prison is really just a country club, or about how, if they had their way, wed go back to Hammurabi and an eye for an eye. Third-degree murder and third-degree conspiracy to commit murder are NOT slaps on the wrist or getting off easy. They carry a combined max sentence of 80 years in prison. And after having to dismiss a juror and the reports of a jury deadlock from yesterday..ing back with any sort of guilty verdict, period, is a HUGE win for the justice system.
